experience the country side on a dog sled ride, visit
the museums of Tromso and the history of the Arctic, a horse drawn sleigh ride,
relax in a hot tub by the sea as you watch the lights dance above you.

Day 1 Board your overnight transatlantic flight

Day 2  Arrival in Tromso Welcome to “The Gateway To The Arctic”, the “Little Paris of the North”, one of the best places in the world to view the Northern Lights.  You have arrived at one of the most beautiful places in the world, where you will never meet a stranger.  Today you will rest or start exploring the town, In the evening at 6pm you meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink and learn more about the events planned for your stay in this beautiful Country. Later, You may go outside the hotel and watch for the lights.

Day 3 Cable Car if the weather is good, later in the day we will take the Cable Car to the top so you can see the wonderland of Tromso , snow capped mountains and the Fjords, a great view for photography. Later, stop by The Mack the most Northern Brewery in the world for a “cold one” where locals meet to discuss the day, meet the friendly people of Tromso.

Back at the hotel, you will meet our Aurora Photographers who will share their experience’s in chasing the lights. They will have their photos for sale and share tips on how to capture the Aurora with your camera.

Day 4 Museum’s take in the highlights of Northern Norway at the Tromso University  Museum, Enjoy the displays of the Sami Culture, Stone Age Exhibit, life size replica of a Viking Longhouse and much more! Great shopping in the gift shop.  Then on to the Polar Museum  where you will find  fascinating exhibits about the Polar Explorer’s and hunters.  Stop for lunch at one of the many cafes and then off to the  Polaria to see the Aquarium with Arctic sea mammals and exhibitions on Polar Research.  Enjoy the Panorama film from Svalbard that will take your breath away, shopping at their wonderful gift shop, then back to the hotel for rest and prepare for the evening.

Day 4 Evening Sleigh Ride to chase the lights after your rest and early dinner, grab your camera and travel to a farm for a magical sleigh ride to look for the lights.  Sit by a fire in a Lavo (teepee) for beverage and food.  Enjoy our speaker who will share the  mythological and spiritual side of the Aurora.

Day 5 Dog Sledding after breakfast you will leave for your dog sled ride.  Once dressed in warm clothes you will say hello to the dogs and hop in the sled.  With the sound of their joyful barking, you will climb the snow covered hills and experience the beauty of the area.  Feel the crisp air against your cheeks and the light dancing off the snow. Afterwards, you will sit on Reindeer hides  by a fire in a Lavo enjoying a stew, coffee and cake.  Then back to the hotel to freshen up and have dinner, then back to the area to view the lights and take a hot tub if you like.

Day 6 Free Day to explore Tromso, if you would like to go skiing  arrangements can be made with prior notice.  Just hang out, go shopping or book a nice massage.  In the evening go dancing and listen to music at one of the many bars and nightclubs.

Day 7 Sommaroy pack your bags and journey by bus to this quaint fishing village to chase the Lights.  After you check in you can explore the area, have lunch and relax in hotel or in one of their cabins, upon prior arrangements.  After an arctic dinner, grab your bathing suit and warm robe, a bottle of wine and head for the hot tubs by the sea.  Get comfortable and start looking up for the Northern Lights to climb over the hill.

Day 8 Sommaroy this is a free day to explore.  You may have a boat ride, go fishing or have a massage and just rest.  After dinner, you will enjoy the evening with a local artist and paint your own Aurora Art to take home with you.

Day 8 (option) return to Tromso and take an over night journey on a cruise ship to see the extraordinary mountains and watch for the Aurora at night.

Day 9 in the morning to prepare to catch your flight to Oslo later that day.

Day 10 Oslo Sightseeing once settled in your hotel, you will explore this beautiful city. Stroll through Frogner Park with Gustav Vigeland’s 193  extraordinary bronze and granite scupltures.  And enjoy the Capitol.  Evening at leisure with optional activities organized by your Tour Organizer.

Day 11 Oslo Explore the city, art galleries,  the relics of Viking life and do some last minute shopping.  You will want to celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner at the hotel. 

Day 12 Departure Catch your  home bound flight.
